We all have wants
Have you ever wanted something so bad that it physically affects you as well? One thing to keep in mind is that everything that you need and all that you want, are two totally different things. Life gives you a handful of choices, and whether you make good ones or bad ones is entirely up to you and what you choose to decide.
The dangers of desire
Sometimes what we want comes from a place of deep desire, and what we desire isn’t necessarily what is good for us. The pleasure and satisfaction associated with desire are often short-lived. It may be pleasurable, but often there is an imbalance between whether it will help or harm us. We are all human and because of this, we can all make mistakes, as we learn to grow and evolve. However, it is important to learn that wants and needs are separate things, with two different outcomes.
The reality of it all
There’s nothing wrong with wanting something or someone but you must ask yourself if what you want, wants you. If it’s good for you or whether it just makes you feel good. Often our desires stem from a fabrication of what we would believe to be true about a person or situation. Whereas the reality of it all is very different. At times you need to stop daydreaming about what could be realised and accept it for what it is. Sometimes you must mourn what has not, or will not happen, and learn to let it go.
There are some harsh truths in life- and one of them is that you don’t always get what you want; did you ever think that maybe that just wasn’t in your destiny, but rather just a part of your fantasy? Acceptance of where you are and what you have brings a sense of contentment that will carry you through the journey from where you are, to where you need to be.
Concluding thoughts
Each day is a new opportunity to start over, to choose to be smarter, and wiser. So let go of the desire of want, and give into a peace that comes with contentment and acceptance. Sometimes what you have is exactly what you need, and who you are is exactly who you need to be. This way you can live the best version of your life, vibrate at the highest version, and move towards your destiny and purpose.
